  1. Thank you very much Pvt. Ryan! I never heard of eBay before, but it seems that it surely rocks! Well, I should take my pick now... See Ya...
  2. Well, it seems that many of us people that like to play wargames and/or are interested in the WWII-era, also like modelling units from that period. I've made quite a few models myself, mostly German vehicles and infantry, because I always liked the very well designed German units most. For the greater part it is all Tamiya 1/35 scale stuff and I even have a few 1/25 scale German tanks (the Tiger-I and the Jagdpanther) that are very rare now. I'm still looking for that third Tamiya 1/25 tank model of the Kingtiger. Has anyone of all you "Dutchies" on this forum, seen it accidently in a store in The Netherlands? If so, please let me know! (I have seen the model and the real thing at the Panzermuseum in Munster, Germany). By the way, hi Stoffel and thanks for mailing me the E-mail adress of Cyberfox. I think that it's a good thing that Dutch CM-fans also get together in The Netherlands to play CM and to swap knowledge, facts and experiences in the process. I'm probably off on a well earned vacation first thing now, but I think we should keep in touch later on... Dutch
  3. Yeah, well we've all made that mistake. "Time flies when Tigers and Panthers are on the prowl, When Shermans come on with many and 88's growl, Where is my SO, where is (s)he, where?, In those battles I feel like being there!" Well Scorp, I already told you once before that CM is that good! Just say a LOOOOOONG GOODBYE to your social life and Your SO, when you get the full version of the game! Now you will have to do all those things you had planned for the next couple of years, in the few days left before that elusive package falls down in your mailbox. I came... I saw... and never left again! Dutch
  4. Yeah, I remember myself playing Kampfgruppe on my Commodore Amiga way back in 1985... Hi, I'm from The Netherlands and a couple of days ago I ordered Combat Mission on Battlefront.com, as there is NO OTHER WAY of getting the game. I do think this is a real pity, because after playing the demo I was totally knocked out by the SHEER BRILLIANCE of the NEW GAME-CONCEPT and the NEVER BEFORE SEEN QUALITY of the A.I.. I think a game as good as this deserves to be retailed all over the world, so that all those "Real-Time-Strategists" could take a look at what real wargaming is all about! Not that I dislike "RTS"-games, but I've played them all and to be honest, it's most flashy graphics, the A.I. can't cope or gives you no chance (because a computer can handle all sorts of stuff at the same time) and the game-concepts normally vary on a same-ol'-samo scale... I think the concept of CM is the future of wargaming and many of the BIG HYPE GAME COMPANIES should take notice of the lesson that Big Time Software has showed them... For me, being a "Steel Panthers" fan for quite a couple of years now, Combat Mission has toppled SP from it's number one position in my (turnbased) strategy-chart. Anyway, I think you should order Combat Mission as soon as possible, as the raving reviews on the net certainly do the game justice and could ignite a total CM-mania! (Oh, I do hope so...)
