  1. I started on a Mac 7200/75 mhz.on which it barely ran. So I had to get a G4 800 mhz., uh....for strictly work purposes though.
  2. Pacestick, Mmmm, I'll have to see if I still have the file. I'm going from memory here and I may have the arms situation wrong. I'll see if I can track it down.
  3. Greetings all, I have enjoyed CMBO since the day it first arrived on my doorstep well over a year ago, and while I have visited this site numerous times, I have never had anything to really add until now, and it's a rather humerous situation that I had. I was playing the AI in one of the CMBO's canned scenarios. Early in the contest I manged to capture a nearly entire Britsh squad (9 w/ 1kia). They were Consricpt. I was suprised and pleased by this. Until now, the most I had ever captured was 1 or 2 left over from a HMG or mortar team. I left them in a house to be guarded by a couple of tanker crew's who had lost their vehicles. (I believe there was at least 4 or 5 of the crew left). A few turns later I went back to check on the POW's and they had buggered off! I reviewed the turn and they grabbed their guns, ran out the front door and back into the fight. Didn't even shoot the guards! I would have thought the POW's would have least have been disarmed, but apparently they weren't. Anyone else ever had a POW take off?
  4. I'd like to get a game going. I also am just a beginner, and have yet to face any human oppent. Although I could only probably do one move a day, sorry. If interested set it up and send it over.
  5. First I'd like to say this is my first posting, I guess I'm what is classified as a lurker. I am amazed at all the postings here and the topics and tangents they generate. Second, a round of applause to these great fellows for the excellent job they have done with Combat Mission. The question I'm asking is would anyone out here, other than myself, like to see a game as well developed as Combate Mission dealing with the battle situations, weapons of the civil war, and the tatics developed through the war. If there exisit such a game I would love to hear of it, but it would have to be in PC format. (Insert your favorite Mac joke here) thanks
  6. I'm new to posting on this site, although I've been a lurker for some time. Your squad has to be at or near the inside wall of the house. You can only shoot from the side your squad is positioned from. i.e if your squad is on the north wall, they can only shoot north, not south, east or west. You do get a wide arch of sight though. Corners often offer a good field of fire.
  7. Just another 2ยข opinon. How about targeting the building. If the tank moves from behind it your tank should switch its target to the enemy tank as it is a higher priority. If the enemy tank stays put, evenutally you will destroy his covering building, and problem solved. Either way it will keep him pinned down for some time until you can get up additonal support.
  8. Much as yourself I've often had my shermans picked off by the Panther like so many ducks in row. A good tatic I've found is to save some of my 105 arty for just such an emergency. Usually using the heavy guns I can at least make the Panther immobile if not better, like dead. It doesn't always work though, some times the Panther (or Panthers if your boasting the German defense) just won't stand still, or worse become immobile sitting on top of the hill, then you have a very armored, very angry bunker to deal with.
