    Mac Mod Managers (MCM3 and MacMod)

    Well I have installed Madmatts Mod 2 using the Mac Mod Managers and the results are

    Fantastic and the Mac Mods are very easy

    to use.

    I had some concerns over some color issues

    (pink alpha spots ) but this was explained and clearly identified by both Dave and Brian.

    Again mac users if you have not downloaded

    the Mac Mods and Loaded Madmatts 2 Mods, then you are truly missing something..

    .it makes CM look fantastic.

    Dave, an amazing job again and well done.

    Its a long weekend here in Toronto, Canada

    War?

    Why do we as young boys growing up, play war

    with our plastic guns and swords. We collect plastic tanks and soldiers and go to our

    best friends house, to play war.

    Eventually the two of you bring friends over

    with there tanks and plastic soldiers and before you realize there are 10 to 12 kids playing war, recreating imaginary battles

    where the only casualties are a lost soldier berried in the sand.

    But as a man you realize that war is far more

    then plastic tanks and plastic soldiers, but yet we continue to play at war with the truth that reality for any man is that there may be a time when that little boy, now a man

    may have to go to war.

    just a general comment about CM and so...

    how's it going...just bored and restless...so I thought I would take a break

    at work from being bored and restless and

    write this email.

    So how are your games (Pbem) going, you

    kicking some serious but or are they kicking yours.

    Man I played CM till 2:30 am last night then went to bed woke up about 6:00 am and got

    to work for 7:30 am. ( and I am not tired as much as I thought I would be)

    This game is great, I guess I have become a CM Addict as I play it everyday and many hours on weekends. You say get a life,well

    I have one but I like the challenge and skill that CM provides and the ability

    to play against players around my own age group.(being 39 and still love the idea

    of playing games)

    The Players that I have played with (PBEM) have a variety of skills and abilities and

    I have learned something from every player.

    I have even developed friendships with

    many players that I play on a regular

    basis.

    Every player is different in terms of how they play, In one case I played the same

    map against 7 different players of all different skill sets and every game was a challenge.

    I guess what I am trying to say is this is the first game that I have played and

    I have played many over the years that actually makes me look forward to turning

    on my computer and downloading my (PBEM) to check on a game that I have locked

    into a death struggle to take a hill as my armor pounds on his and his pounds on mine.

    Just a personal commentary about CM,Life and the Universe.

    Any thought on tactics

    One of the most important things you need to

    do is study closly the terran (Map) you are fighting in.

    You could have the best fighting force but

    if you dont know the map, you opponent will.

    Before I every place any units from men to

    armor I make sure that I know where a possible ambush could be or a place where

    my forces could retreat to incase of being

    over run.

    Check the weather conditions if you have heavy tanks and are playing in mud then you

    will most likely stay close to the mian roadway. If this is the case then you need to

    look closly at what and where your units

    could be attacked or where you could set

    up a possible ambush position.

    Understanding the map that you play on will

    help you from being out flanked and knowing

    where the enemy may attack from.

    I have played many many games against opponents and I often defeat players that

    have not looked closely around where they are

    positioned and what terran is infront of them or behind them.

    I usually will move the camera around at

    position #1 to see what I can see around the

    map landscape.

    Bridges

    I have just play tested a new map

    I created called Bridges at Little Creek.

    Played it 4 times ( twice as the germans and

    twice as the Americans and have only managed

    a draw each time )

    It deals with 3 bridges, one being a railway

    bridge.

    If interested in playing it, email is on my profile and if you want to play a PBEM game

    using this map just let me know.
