  1. I'm still using my rusty metal skinpack for v3 and it seems to work just fine with v4 so I don't see why the camo version shouldn't work. Or is there something I'm missing here?

Well, yes, it 'works.' Bit doesn't perfectly 'fit' the new layout anymore. That, to me as a modder, is enough to not include them in this release. Creating them all again is a heap of work I wasn't planning on repeating. Sorry. :)

Thanks Juju I love it ! But is it possible to have the splash background in french because i can't read it (french is on english words). :(

If it's not possible i keep the original background.

    Anyway it's formidable ! Thanks

Hey, you know, I never even considered different language versions of the game! Bit of an oversight now that you mention it. It's certainly possible, though. All I'd need is a screenshot of the stock French splashscreen. I'm taking a break at the moment, but who knows. ;)

  2. Thanks guys!

Juju, love your mods.  Thanks for doing this.  Can this be used for CMFI also?

AFAIK, yes, up to a point. Some buttons and elements have shifted position slightly and there are no files for Italian weapons or silhouettes apart from a handful of small arms that I released separately. I should update those as well, I suppose.

More refined it is but I don't think I can part with the camo UI and all those choices. I'm torn

Sorry man! Maybe I get bored at some point and give it another go. It's a lot of work.

  3. and oh BTW your UI Camo skins are the icing on the cake.

Ooh, Bradley, you're in for a disappointment. Like with 'Red Thunder UI' the new background layout just doesn't work with all those camo schemes, so sadly they're no longer included.

Oh, I should have the options preview ready tomorrow. I've also finally tackled the only UI texture that, for some reason, I felt unconfortable modding. I tried to stay true to the original on this one. ;-)

  4. Looks great. Just one quick query. The same as your CMRT UI mod, the German Kar98 has two different completely different silhouettes. One for the scoped version (darker brown) and one for the others. Reason? Thoughts?

No particular reason but for the fact I had two separate textures to play with and several finished Kar98 models to choose from. And I do like a little variation. ;-)

Honestly it isn't my thing either. HOWEVER once you play CMBS you suddenly change your opinion...I can't recommend it highly enough to WW2 only wargamers.

That's the thing; I don't even actually play the games I already have (RT and BN) all that much. I practically only mod the things. Since May last year I've played one small H2H game (my first since 2004!) and before that I tested one of Umlaut's- and my own scenario. That's about it. And if I had to choose between the two time frames it'd be WW2 every time anyway. :-)

Just for fun i might try the demo, though, if there is one.

  5. Looks spectacular. It says that it includes the VP. But I saw no icon for AT-bunkers (which I have in a scenario I'm making). Sorry, no time to test it :(

Sure, I've just finished those last night. But there's only so much room on the preview picture. Everything up to- and including the vehicle pack is in there.

Are you going to work on BS?

Sorry, no. Modern warfare is just not my thing.

  6. I've finally fully upgraded my CM:BN game and I, naturally, just had to update my UI one final time.
Simply 'updating' got out of hand rather quickly and we're now looking at a complete overhaul to bring the entire UI up to 'Red Thunder UI' standards.

There are still several behind-the-scene elements to tackle, but here's a preview of what's coming (click the pic for the original, much less blurry, image).

By the way, I could still use one more tester! Who's game?

  7. Hey y'all! I'm not dead! :)

I've finally upgraded my CM:BN game all the way. Work on the final (huge) update to "TweakedUI v4 (final)" -to bring it up to "Red Thunder UI" standards- is already well under way. I'm gonna need a couple of bug testers to iron out any problems. Anyone game? PM me!

  8. Blimey is an English word - check it out in the dictionary. Guess it's not used as much these days.

    LOL. That was funny.

Anyway, Mord, I wasn't expecting anything like that. Like you I really don't have a clue here. Lookng at all the files I have I really can't see why or where (if at all) this file is different from any of the others.

I do have an idea to try out, though: Put a copy the original stock evade button into your mods folder and see what happens? That could tell us whether it's something to do with the actual file in my mod, or the fact that a copy is in the mod folder at all (am I making sense?).

It still wouldn't explain why (so far) you're the only one that's seeing this. Out of curiosity, do you use an Nvidia or an ATI card?

  9. Mord, I've tested both scenarios and encountered no problems myself. All vehicles, including the specific ones you mentioned are both selectable and usable.

I take it you simply removed the entire UI and the problem went away, right? That's over 500 files, so we'll try and narrow that down to the most obvious ones; the ones directly relating to those specific vehicles. Can you go into the mods' 'Silhouettes' folder and remove the Hetzer, Nashorn, Jagd Iv late and sdkfz231-mid files for now and see if that does the trick?

If this works i still haven't got a clue what's up, but it's a starting point.

  10. Mord, you're going to have to tell me exactly what's going wrong. Which nation, scenario (or QB, if it's QB) and the specific vehicles involved. Be as specific as you can, please. I need to reproduce the problem on my machine before I can tackle it. Also, it might be interesting to see if other people can reproduce it on their machines, or if it's just yours. True, that seems unlikely, but I would have expected more bug reports from other Red Thunder UI users by now.

  11. It's always a UI mod that causes this kind of thing.

I was thinking the same thing. That would either mean Marco's, or mine. Mine would be more likely because it contains all the UI files. That said, I did a quick test and everything seems to be okay on my end. However, should any of you guys find that it's 'Red Tunder UI' that is the culprit, let me know ASAP and I'll attempt to fix it.

  12. Welcome, Artemis. I totally agree with you on that SH3 thing, there. I remember us players practically had to beg Ubisoft for a patch (or was that SH4? Can't really remember).

SH3 was also the only other game beside CM I ever modded. I remember it to be an extremely frustrating experience. I mean, modding CM can be mildly frustrating at times, but not nearly as bad as SH3 was. ;)

    Anyway, enjoy the game!

  13. Let me just take a second to also thank all the modders (especially "JuJu"). I have been around wargaming for 50 years and it is wonderful to see people take a very, very good game system and tweak it to be a visual and sound delight. I don't have the skill or the patience to do these things and I for one would simply say that your time and effort is much appreciated.

    Thanks, and you're welcome! :)

    Oh, and welcome aboard!

  14. Cool stuff, thanks.

    [MILD SPOILERS]

Wow, Buzz, you took the entire marketplace? As you may have noticed I give (what I call) 'kudos' points for attempting to take it, which I thought was heroic enough by itself to earn the player some points. I never expected people to actually pull it off, though.

There are lots of ways to tackle this attack. And trying to bypass certain areas can result in having to fight those same defenders in another place, only this time in a crossfire, if you're unlucky or rash.

Both the armor and breach teams are indeed invaluable, and like the briefing says, armor should be used with due care. Ignore that advice and you most likely will be punished for it.

Buzz, I'm curious, did the Mad Hermit get any kills in your game? He only has a very short window of opportunity before he is either killed or succesfully escapes. Had to make him elite to give him even a sporting chance to achieve either (kills/escape).

Oh, And thanks for not getting me killed, btw. ;)
