  1. I've been working on one that is essentially a Korean War sim. Hordes of fanatical infantry come up three sides of a hill toward a lone platoon with massive arty support and several fight bombers. Meant to be somewhat real, but plays kinda whacky...like war itself, I suppose. I'll mail it to the interested.
  2. I've been trying to find a site with scenarios sortable by size. I rarely have time for more than a small one, so I usually set up a quick battle in the evening. But I would love to discover some more of the fast playing gems out there. Yep, I am kind of a newbie. I hope to unleash my own little "quick fight mission pack" someday soon. I'll keep yaz posted.
  3. 'Schreck performance increases if team is within command radius of combat-rated HQ unit. My results certainly reflect this.
  4. Been waiting for this "heroics" thread for some time... It's strange, the real emotions that are elicited by these wee digi-soldiers from a near catatonic human mind at 3am. I actually woke up my slumbering wife with celebratory shouting after a lone Stug commander scored 3 consecutive Hellcats in an LD I was about to give up. I ordered the commander to appear, zoomed in tight and offered profuse and sincere congratulatons. Then I motored him to a spot where I could screen-cap the man with a burning Hellcat visible over each shoulder!!! ...And speaking of zook teams, I sent one on a long, full-run assault of an 88 position in Riesburg. Using smoke from an immobized Sherman that could target nothing of worth, the zookers dashed unnoticed to within 15 M, crawled to within 5, popped up and silenced the gun with 4 shots. The 88 pivoted to engage the troopers, but couldn't sufficiently depress. That same team later dashed into town, crawled to a 2nd floor window and silenced an MG-42 with its last rocket! Hope BTS finds a way to save film of these kinds of turns!
  5. Worth checking out is the 1993 German film STALINGRAD from the producer of DAS BOOT. The Los Angeles Times called it an "expertly crafted epic war movie." Other critics called it Germany's PLATOON, as it follows a platooon of SS from a rest stop in Italy to their panicked rush of the last Junkers out of the pocket (dazzling scene.) Another interesting scene features a duel between a smallish PAK gun and a trio of T-34s. Several VHS tapes were avail. on EBAY recently. I got mine @ $13.
