If there are any.
Just out of interest. Not sure how much longer I can stand those Yankee accents, and no, I haven't looked closely into the game, just got it yesterday.

Wish I knew, but hazarding a guess, probably nobody, since nobody pays you any attention.

Since Elvis doesn't seem to be around, let me just say this:
Muppets.
Those who need to know know what I wanted to say, but I'm not sure of the house rules.

Weren't you like... really old when I last posted? So that would make you either ancient, or a zombie.
Or, considering your posting history, an ancient zombie.

Of course. And broke. Which means I am a broke chicken. But it also means I am not a boneless chicken.

I would have to buy the game first, now wouldn't I, you Swedish twit?
I do that the moment you send me a nice high-spec laptop.
This one will do: http://www.rockdirect.com/viewNotebook.php?pName=XTREME%20850

In defence of the M5 crew it would have been almost impossible to see the person clearly, certainly wouldn't be able to hear him and he had just been lying down so you wouldn't know if the hands were raised because he'd just thrown a mine.
Perhaps it is not a good idea to surrender to a tank.
Or perhaps if you want to be sure that your surrender thingame works out well for you, try it before the shooting starts.

I don't know about any old timers vs. newbs vs. deserters stuff. I'd hope that BF slaps us all with the label of "customers" and treats us accordingly.
I know which label Elvis would apply to all those deserters.

Thanks for the feedback. It is very pleasing to see that these old creations still manage to give fun to players.

I also highly recommend his other book on the Greek campaign 'The Gods were neutral', and Cyril Joly's 'Take these men'.

Andreas created a series of rather good SEALION scens for CMAK.
I don't know where you'd get them now though
I can have a look if anyone is really interested. They might still be on some DVD.

I just came back from Duxford, where I watched a Spitfire buzzing the airfield for about 40 minutes in a glorious spring sky. The guy owning it may have sunk bucket loads of money into it, but the pilot seemed to appreciate it (one hopes it is the same person), putting her through her paces.
Very nice.

Total Red Army casualties were actually not that far off 800,000, but that included sick.I went with 600,000 on the basis of the 1:3 rule, which you indicated.

In German the Wehrmacht used the term "Blutige Verluste" (bloody losses), which has the advantage of not lacking in clarity at all, at least in German.

He said "casualties" which is WIA, KIA, and MIA. Not a joke, take it easy, okay? No need for all the anger.

So, about that manual for the Mac Version
in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy
Posted
Couldn't find one. Fortunately I remember some things from the olden days (tab-1 for view lock, amazing how it all comes back, like riding a bicycle...)
Some questions about units I am not familiar with:
- what is the role of ammo bearers attached to guns, mortars, HMGs? What is the impact if they are lost?
- Bil on his blog talks about medical duties. Please explain?
On a more general note, I am getting my ass handed to me in the training scenario, attacking as US. Help?
All the best
