  1. OMG, I was just looking at the herooes section in TGN, and I loved all those scenarios that the beta testers made! Would you be at all willing to let the Beta testers have their own created maps be ready for download? C'mon I want this game now and I think by releasing more maps it will keep us hanging around here more. I noticed a lack of (including myself) posts on good topics. I cant wait untill February or whenever the game's release. It most certainly will not take away of the excitement of the games release, I think it will just make the gamers want the product more! wink.gif (trying to take a shot at it)

P.S Where can I find a screenshot program? Do I have to buy it in a retail store or can I download a program online?

  2. I was just wondering if you ever gave thought to model civilians? Maybe some could play a big role like for instance some Germans are hiding in a French town with US entering the town and some civilians come running out of a house and the Germans misidentify the civilians as American units and start to open fire on them thus giving their positions away. Just a thought smile.gif (Probably wouldnt be modeled because this was probably a rarity)

  3. I was playing chance encounter as the Americans. I had two bazooka teams in the furthermost house in front of the hill seperating the germs from the US. I had them waiting to ambush those stugs when they crest over the hill, but when I fired the bazooka the whole house caught fire. Does a bazooka have that much back blast? I thought it didnt have that much to actually harm the building because it never happened before.

  4. Panzer, the game is based on a point system. You start off as a PFC and u need like 50 to get to Cpl, 500 to get to Sgt. and 3000 to get to 2nd Lt, all promotions after that are given to you by the Regiment Cmdr. I got promoted to 1st Lt from the CO. But your question about the death in your squad, Well before every game the computer picks 1 man out of the 4 to be the CO of your squad, so if he dies you lose points, if he survives you get points. Sometimes you can lose all your men except 1 who is the CO and you get points, other times u can lose 1 man and its him. If you lose the Co of your sqaud in the game you still fight thats because during the game you dont know who the CO is. But you should definetly try it. There are differnt types of games, Open games rank really doesnt matter except u get to pass out the weps and get more points if u survive, also the highest rank of a side gets to hand out the points to each player.

  5. "But, even if the post wasn't serious, to tackle the question

at hand, there simply were any black combat units that I

know of in this area of Europe. So this means there

won't be any in CM, either."

Hey Lee you are actually wrong. There was a battalion of Black Soldiers in the initial assault on Omaha, I think it was the 320th Barrage Balloon Batallion. They brought in Barrage Ballons in LST's and LCI's to prevent strafing from planes. Also about 1,200 Black soldiers landed on Utah on D-Day most of them truck drivers. Some were on the Coast guard and drove Higgins boats to the shore. Also as I remember Eisenhower during the Bulge allowed the black truck drivers to volunteer for Combat infantry posts. And as I remember 5,000 did and were remarked on their excellent performance by a white Officer

  6. Currently Im reading D-Day,"The Climactic battle of WWII" Im not a big reader but this book is just pulling me in. It's by far one of the best books I've ever read. After I finish this im going to get Stephen Ambroses' "Citizen Soldiers". But D-Day is highly reccomended. The book contains 1400 interviews of American, German, British, ect. of veterans and put into a great book.
