I will definitely be buying B-17 2 this fall. I can not wait for the online re-creation of great bombing missions. I will be waiting to see how the others pan out.

Not exactly the same thing, but whenever I buy a model to build, I probably spend approx $50-75 in reference material. The Honest truth about games is that I have been burned so often that I buy with much more caution.

This has got to be one of the best values for my money that I can remember. The random battle generator is incredible!! I give the game an enthusiastic thumbs-up!!

How does this take into account the British use of radar during the Battle of Britain? I have read many accounts of controllers mapping squadrons taking off, climbing to altitude, etc from France and Holland. I thought it was accurate up to about 20-30 miles. Is this a take-off on the movie "On a Clear Day You Can See Forever?" Don't bother, my wife made me watch it.

I heard that CC5, due out this fall, will be the last in the series. That may have changed. Will CC5 still cover( err botch) D-Day? If there is a CC6, what campaign will they screw up?

If you want to go with water based acrylic paint, Testors has a line that reasonably well matches both Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht spec's. It is not the best paint, but it is great to start with. It is also very easy to remove!! Good Luck. I am currently deeply engrossed in several fw-190 d variants.

Taking in to account the innacuracies, I still enjoyed the movie. I think that anyone who is actually checking details at the level discussed is assured of a certain level of dissatisfaction.

I agree with the comparison to "DAS Boot", but I can not watch "Red October." Talk about filled with idiocy. Driving a boomer through the ridges at speed, when you are supposed to be a silent black hole!! And what is with this singing at the first dive. Maybe in a propaganda flick, but nowhere else.

Having spent some time there myself, I think this is Ft. Hood. Relatively flat and dry, with plenty of scrub and mesquite. Drivers in Texas are nuts anyway

I would recommend buying a name brand that is well known. I bought a guillemot TNT2 that consistently froze during CM, QIII, and Hidden & Dangerous. I found a Diamond V770 on a bargain rack for $99. It performs very well although the TNT2 is now one generation behind top-of-the-line.

I was a big fan of Diamond video cards. I have both the viper v550 and 770 which are based on Riva chipsets. Nvidia is the company behind the TNT, TNT2 and GeForce cards. Diamond merged with S3, and now do not push Nvidia chipsets in their products. Go to www.pricewatch.com and look for viper or v770.
