  1. I agree. I find it confusing at times to determine where, in relation the the operations map, I really am while fighting the battle. That would help me decide just how hard I really need to defend that position. Also I noticed that when totally repelling any attack I still start off the next battle several hundred meters behind my defensive line. In my opinion, if I held the enemy from entering my setup zones, they should not get a "freebie" the next battle and automatically advance on me. This is especially bad when playing an operation with two players. In one instance where I was attacking I ended the battle gaining about 500 meters, but when the second battle started it catapulted me 1500 meters! And this operation was setup with 160 Meter neutral zone.

  2. Seeesh guys! I'm speachless! I swear I always considered myself lucky to get ANY kind of response back from a game developer. And here you come not only replying to my post, but also stating that it will be implemented! I cannot express my gratitude enough for your committed support for this truely amazing game! I'm trying to convince as many people as I can to buy your game to get your sales up!

    Thnanks again!

  3. I got the game today and the very first thing I checked was the DYO, unfortunately the point limit restrictions are ruining the way I plan to play the game.

Why are the point restrictions so low? I mean I couldn't even buy a Security Battalion or any type of battalion for that matter.

What I want to do primarily with this game is to play against my friend using a mini CMMC (much more simplistic) where we would have to use the DYO since the game will be played blind. However, the point limit makes this impossible since we could never get the amount of forces we need (reinforced battalion sized). We don't care for balance, hey, it's not my fault his kitchen sink battalion walks into my Schwere Panzer Abteilung wink.gif

So basically what I am asking for is for BTS to consider changing this in a future patch to allow virtually unlimited number of points.

    Thanks for your consideration,

Tom (on his knees begging for an increase in points)

  4. Is there a specfic reason why there's a limit of 1000 points in the DYO? If I remember correctly (and it's been a while so don't hold me to these numbers!)then a single KT cost around 200 points. That would mean if one player chose 5 KT's he'd be maxed out. Now what I primarily want to do with this game is kinda like a mini CMMC against my friend. In other words we would need the capability to create battles in the DYO (can't use scenario editor since it wouldn't be blind anymore) where we could purchase battalion size +support units. But something tells me that that would go over 1000 points.

Coments? Am I missing something here? smile.gif

    Thanks,

    Tom

  5. <<I don't think this will work, because each battle is a combined map/units affair; I don't think you can get a map, select your units, and then send it to an opponent to select his units.>>

Can we get clarification on this? I assumed this was possible. confused.gif This is basically the way the SP series works. Some clarification would be appreciated.

  6. SPOILER ALERT ---

I was playing as the germans in Chance Encounters and put ALL of my infantry in or behind the woods (closest german victory objective). I had them there hiding and picked off one after another american squad/bazooka team/MG team. Then something weird happened. 2 60mm mortar teams came up the hill and into the woodline just to be slaughtered. It seemed that the AI was so intent (frustrated? wink.gif) to pound some of my troops that it would try anything to get LOS on my troops. I wiped out at least 2+ platoons with this ambush until the AI kept his remaining forces back.

  7. I'm planning the same thing as Prizl. I already did that with a friend using SP2. I worked quite well I might add. The operational part was very abstract of course, but we just used a regular map with icons on transperant plastic. We decided how supply was factored, movement ranges, equipment type etc. It was a lot of fun and we'll do it again with CM smile.gif

  8. I had 1 surviving german Stug crewman in the "Last Defense" scenario walk all the way from the beginning of the wheat field (german perspective) down the road all the way to the main objective area (Where the BN HQ likes to hang out). I told him to walk there just to see if he did. I didn't expect him to actually survive. But sure enough enemy fire ignored him and he shook hands with the enemy battalion commander where he finally surrendered smile.gif
