Would someone please email the URL's of Wild Bill's scenario's ?
i seem to have misplaced it, or forgot to change if it moved. i dont seem to be able to find it

sounds like i'm ok as i have fewer older games... except i do have tallonsoft's gettysburg - life goes oh ey?

everything is fine on my sys...
p3-500, vd4 256 ram running win98
currently DirectX7a...
my question is having purchased nascar4 from papyrus, there seems to be an issue that requires (?) installation of DirectX8a. i've heard some reports that 'some' programs are affected with this version.
can you tell me if i have anything to worry about with CM? i understand the upgrade is uninstallable so once i'm in.. i'm in!

i'm playing a QB scenario, that if i give orders to this one unit, the CM completly bombs. back to desktop!
i discovered the unit by first not issuing orders to any units and the turn worked. so then it was a process of elim.
the battle is in it 7th turn so i don't understand why now-
i have the turn if you'd like me to send it.

his email service is wacked out on his computer. in process of correcting, stand by... but it could take awhile.

i knew it had to be easy, and did look for a "how to" and either am too blind, or didn't see it.
i know there were both .txt and .doc versions (proof that i tried)

i did a search on the (double asterick) but all i got was a blank white screen!
i am engaged in a QB and upon entering a 'heavy building' i noticed them. i could not find anything in the book about them. does this have an explanation somewhere?
now i'm off to search (buildings) so pardon me if i find an answer before you reply, its just that i had this all typed out when i thought of a 2nd search opton

No, actually you've done 2 things. ONE, made me a better person. Because you neede an outlet to humor yourself and i like to help the less fortunate. TWO (and more importantly) you've educated me! see, i will now know never bother and read ANYTHING else you ever post... too bad, i may miss something intelligent. but that will be my loss as well.

i choose option 1-
there is too much known now. i think in the heat of battle a TANK! would be fired at unless it was smoking or obviously charred from privious brew up.
yes i turn it off in PBEM, but how do i know beyond gentleman agreementthat my opponent has as well?
a toggle a start of scenario would be nice.

but i'm gonna take it up a level-
you guys are way above what most of us come to expect as the 'norm' in software creators, and so i would like to be first to say to steve & charles:
you have my cc#, you now have my permission to tap an additional $10 as a show of my TRUE appreciation! (yes i am serious)

in the gold demo, VoT the wonderful pre-battle bird noises ended with the opening shots (IIRC)
however in two current battles the bird sounds are continuing thru the entire battle. i don't see a toggle, i really dont want to delete the wav as its cool at the start, but once the shooting starts, shouldn't they "fly to safer areas"?

i think i was pressing shift too late ( after battlefront scr.splash started.

i've read that holding the shift key during load will disable this.
doesn't seem to be the case on my PC...
care to educate me?

yes.. AT the troops! because the enemy units where straight ahead, and the friendlies were off to the right, where NO enemy units were located. fire did not pass thru friendlies to point beyond either.
however i forgot to mention: YES it was a dusk AND overcast setting! so visiblity was very limited...200 meters?

playing a quick battle, i am advancing... French troops on German position. platoon abrest - mg's covering.
i begin to take fire from the front, the french squad furthest right (lovers, not fighters) decides to return to some cover recently vacated... MY mg's (thats right the FRENCH) open up on MY infantry!!!
just one burst, no casualties but what a great incentive to not fall back on your own!

at least you havn't run down to his truck, stopped him in mid process of loading his bag and asked him for YOUR MAIL 1st! like someone i know
he was very understanding, however i wouldn't do it again... i mean whoever would do such a thing shouldn't do it twice. he might 'mis-place' some other important mail

JOE: this is Bruce, we are 'scheduled to engage down the road, and just wanted you to know i am not getting any advantage of early delivery. you and i are in the same foxhole
BTS: patience is a virture.. does that make me a virtuoso? we can ask ship dates? doesn't matter, other than 'it was' HOWEVER i do wonder if that i ordered (2) 0ne PC, one MAC, if they'll "come together" (john lennon if you were wondering) or seperately? is it possible a double order takes longer???
ANYONE ELSE: these days are difficult for those still waiting, but anyone want to bet they'll be soon forgot about 4 minutes after it arrives?
