What map will this be on? With the size of the forces your mentioning, would need a very large map to do this on.

I beleve DAR is Direct ( or During) Action Review and AAR is After Action Review.

Great job Tanks a Lot, quick question, for some reason they seem blur, could sharpening the bmp file, will it not look so blurred? Just asking?

Thanks JuJu great job

I was going to start this preview with a lengthy vent about all the issues and limitations I encountered while doing this mod. But since, against all initial odds, I'm actually quite satisfied with the end result, I won't
Only some final testing yet to be done, so it won't be long before release.
A big thank you to TanksaLot, without whose suggestions this mod would have been merely mediocre!
I like these, could there be some with pockmarks on stone walls from bullets?

The instructions are on the website, just download, extract and then run the BAT file and all should be good.
Got it, thanks. It worked ok, will test out later.

Go to this link
http://cthruview.sourceforge.net/#installation
Groovy little program that lets you place an "always on top" image on your screen and make it transparent. So you could open the editor underneath and Bob's your uncle
Looks like a good tool, but what do I/we need to download to get the program to run? Not a java expert

here we go again

sorry, no there isn't any way to turn off the UI. Would be nice though.
-
What is the size of it? 2x2 or 3x3?

I know it’s a day late and a dollar short, but I brought this up at the skunk works awhile back and will see what happens.

I'm trying to work on a couple of scenarios that was done during Operation Dragoon. A little known second amphibious invasion on the southern shores France. But it will be about TF Butler fighting against the 11th Panzer Division.

Thanks, That is what I had in mind. There is a german red square icon mod out there, but no diamond ones if you wanted to make those.
What I am most interested in is the blue round icons for USA, with the yellow/green highlight select color from CMSF. I liked the way the blue stood out better in CMSF.
If you do make a mod of this type i think it would be best to have german red diamonds, and blue round USA as seperate files so people could mix and match easier.
No problem, have to wait until I get to Ft Bragg, Monday. Shouldn't take long to fix.
-
I could work on USA and German icons that used the same type of icons from CMSF?
-
...want to let you know that both my CMSF-mods for fire and muzzle flash are fully compatible with CMBN. You can DL them from my homepage (link in my sig).
I've been using your mods during testing and playing

Ok, received the file and place it in my folder Winecap if you want to look at it. I looked at it and just sent an email to Steve and Charles to take a look at it as well.
-
You could send it to me josborne6(at)kc(dot)rr(dot)com
I'll it get to Winecap or I can look at it myself. Please place in the subject CM:BN Problem

Could be, I found another picture of an Ike jacket with the patch sewn on the sleeve as well as other WW2 pictures with just the triangle patch on its sleeve as well as on the front left side sewn on the coveralls of the tankers.
-
I beg to differ they did have this patch, look at this web site
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2nd_Armored_Division_(United_States)
and scroll down and to the right is a picture taken during WW2 and if you look closely the soldier standing on the right has that patch on his sleeve.
-
I've had infantry doing the same on my current custom map build. My feeling is that the bridge ends have to extend further onto the ground on each end, but I haven't tested it yet.
Yes they need to extend further onto each bank. I learn the hard way

Good questions. The soldier models for each of the US radio operators shows each of them with a radio on his back. Oddly, the soldier model used for German radio operators doesn't show any radio at all.
Its being worked on for the German radio bmp file. The Germans still have radio capability but not a bmp to show a radio on the backs. Hopefully will be on the patch for CMBN.

O, my god the world is going to end because it is plastic instead of steel

Vein or anybody else, take a look at a book titled "German Army Uniforms and Insignia 1933-1945" by Brian L Davis. Great book that will answer allot of questions about uniforms.
