OK, no worries. Thanks for the apology.
Normally it wouldn't have bothered me - certainly not on any other forum. I just think quite highly of the people on here and so hold them to higher standards of civility, especially if I don't really know them.
So let us move on. You're welcome to come to the preview as you live close. Should be a lot of fun.
Gentlemen - you can't fight here! This is the WAR ROOM. -

I hope you was not offended by my scouseland jibe. if so, please accept my sincere apologies. Myself and PJMaybe opted for Whitby because it's just up the road from us mate.
No worries.

Seriously feel that I called you a thief...?
Was I offended? Yes. Surprised?

The RAF were still going on leave at the height of the BoB. They were being run hard but not to the point of falling in effectiveness.
-
No, the RN would have retreated to Scapa Flow and the fighters would have been distributed around the country, only to re-emerge when the invasion started.
Pretty much no invasion left.
Plus the Britain was outproducing Germany on fighters. If they'd kept hammering the airbases we would probably have built a load more of them. Didn't need a lot of support back then - more or less a grassy field.
The invasion was never really on.

I'm easy about the time - maybe 1pm would be better?

It could be fun indeed, I am looking forward to it.
I have made a note in the diary re Veuve Clicquot. Could you recommed a nice but reasonable hotel within striking distance - one with a car park?
I'm only kidding about the champers fella.
The Holiday Inn at the Albert Dock is OK and has parking. You might be best searching tinternet. The Premier Inn, The Atlantic, the Travel Lodge on Haymarket St and the Crown Plaza are worth looking into.

Other Means,
Thanks for yoru kind offer to host a UK preview. I am very grateful and shall certainly be there.
What is your preferred tipple (so I know what to bring a bottle of as a thank you)?
More the merrier mate - I only drink Veuve Clicquot BTW...mmm creamy...
I'm going to see if I can split into 2 teams and do a LAN game. Put you in separate places - the "Axis" and the the "Allied" meeting rooms. I just need to find out if I can run it over a DHCP LAN. Got a couple of projectors so display is no problem.
Could be fun.

Eh, Calm down, calm down.
Edited: Hey, Scousers. I'm going to knock this nonsense on the head now before some bloody fool who's had a humour bypass drops by. So feel free to have the last words.
Oh yeah, and thank G for King Kenny
Ah yes, the whole be called a thief or be accused of having no sense of humour dichotomy – so many exciting options to choose.
As for the rest of us, I can confirm a preview in Liverpool on Saturday 19/2. I'm using our Boardroom so it can sit up to 12 – not that I'm expecting that many. It’s in the centre of town (Temple st). I think if we meet in Rigby’s on Dale St around 2pm, I'll bring everyone through – how does that sound?

Maybe. Or maybe they would have continued to blow their resources on a veritable carnival of tank types.
Dictatorships often use internal divide and conquer and if often bites them in the arse.

I just finished reading "Unbroken", bu Laura Hildebrand. The story of Louis Zampirini. he and another guy were adrift for 47 days before being picked up by the Japanese.
That's what the OP is about Boo.

So thu sfar we have an offer of a preview in Whitby (13th century abbey, old cobbled streets, Captain Cook, Jet jewellery, inspiration for Dracula and kippers), The Highlands of Scotland (majestic Scenery, superb ingridients - if not awlays good cooking, history so romantic one needs to hold ones' breath and malt whisky) or Liverpool (home of the Beatles and erm.... well, they might not nick the wheels off your car). Tricky decision.
In practical terms for me its all one (from the South Coast its a three day trip whichever site is chosen), so please could we have a decision, chaps, and a date.
Yes - go to Whitby.

Or your valuables.
Or the Dutch

I might be able to swing a preview in Liverpool.
I have a noble friend that was looking at a phd around warrior traits in societies. I think he was saying higher % up north. Plus petrol's even more expensive down south.Disclaimer- had a mate who ran UK wide business and in the end the Liverpool area was the only zone he barred standard 30 day business credit to. So North west excluding a zone that was alledged as "theiving scouse gypsy land."
And I'm also of Gypsy heritage. Don't bring your friend.

6th June is a Monday. Not a very good day to release a game I think.

History is full of examples like that Elvis.

Umm - he's looking to help people?

I think some of the horses need to be swapped out for motorcyles as they take too much morale damage from the German F/Ts.

I think it's been proved that that photo was caused by the Soviet crew that had dropped their keys inside.

That’s sparked my interest again. TBH I've never got on with the Unreal engine, it’s always felt a bit unnatural to me. I think if it used the HL2 engine I'd be on it 24/7. Still – worth giving a go I think.

Crikey, terrible.

I always enjoyed the "follow tank" command in CMBB - I wonders if that will be in CMBN?
I think we've found the spy.

I'm willing to bring the PC and the family if you're going to pay for the flights and accommodation.
