Gypsy Posted August 9, 2009 Share Posted August 9, 2009 I downloaded "Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg" today from Gamersgate. After downloading I patched up to 1.08 but then I was receiving the Directx 7 error on launch. I then found the 1.09 patch and patched up to it. Now when I try and start the game I receive the error: --------------------- SC2.exe - Unable To Locate Component This application has failed to start because elicen40.dll was not found. Re-installing the application may fix this problem. ---------------------- Uninstalling and reinstalling has not helped. Does anyone please have any information to help me with this error? Moon Posted August 10, 2009 Share Posted August 10, 2009 This error indicates that you have downloaded the wrong patch (the original Battlefront patch). That patch is protected with eLicense but since you do not have the correct version, it does not work. Gypsy Posted August 10, 2009 Author Share Posted August 10, 2009 I could've sworn that the 1.09 patch was for SC2B. However, after only patching up to 1.07 the game worked fine.
