  1. Battle of River Plate. The Graf Spee. Need I say more. Yes,(it has been stated that it still in the works, and on occasion to check the list.) I will in hoping that the pocket battleships are included in the game. This will be my big selling/ticket item in purchasing this game.
  2. Yes, a game about naval warfare that looks good and easy to understand. I've been waiting for such a beast! Now, does anyone know a good book to purchase about naval tactics? I can watch "Sink the Bismarck" only so many times. LOL
  3. I have a processor that's between 2 and 3, I think? So looks like I know what I'm getting for Christmas. LOL
  4. So Moon, you'd be able to run the game on Windows 98 thru XP? I know that someone has already answered somewhere (I know, I'm the one that asked the question) that a 3d card is not needed. Here's a follow up question. What pentium processor is the least you can have to run the game. 2, 3, or whatever Microsoft and friends are up to now.
  5. Can anyone post what computer requirements,(etc. OS, RAM, blah blah) that the game will need?
  6. I have BoB by Talonsoft and I'm dissapointed. It reminded me of the Avalon Hill Luftwaffe game, which needed something else in the game structure to make it a good game.
  7. "maybe DIF-2 at some point will be full 3D though. MNB, the second game in line will be in fact!" Martin [/QB]

    Scenarios

If anyone has the issue VOL. 30, NO. 5-Avalon Hill, this issue featured the "Mustangs" game. There are plenty of historical dogfights in the mag which could be applied to DiF when one would overplay the scenarios of the game. Waiting patiently for the release of this game.
  9. Thanks again Martin. I do have the ASL boardgame and looked into the VASL site. Vassel you say. I might just do that.
  10. From the many books that I have on the subject I'm refering from Jane's Aircraft of World War 2. Armament: one 12.7mm and two 7.62 machine guns with pods for two more 12.7mm guns; six underwing rockets or two 100 kg (220 lb.) bombs. Also, the plane performed better at high altitudes, but the air war was fought at lower altitudes. The plane was used somewhat like the P-40 during the Flying Tigers phase of the war.
  11. Thanks Martin for replying. I've been looking into programs that would turn board games into computer games for a hobby, not to make money. What program(s) should I be looking for? I'm not that computer literate, so it would be a program that anyone could understand. Game looks great by the way. I'll download the beta version for a test run.
  12. After viewing the screenshots, I have a question(s) about how the game will be viewed on the monitor. I've noticed that most views are taken from the "top view" of the aircraft. I did read the print that this was "work in progress" screenshots. Is this going to be the way that the game will be general seen as a whole? The other question that I have is when an aircraft will go into a manoeuver lets say, will you just see that after effect per say, or will the game show some screenshots of the aircraft doing "phases" of the manoeuver. Not just the before and after so to speak. And last but not least, what kind of sound effects will the game have. I apoligize if the questions have been answered already.
  13. Maybe in time for the big Christmas push?
  14. I myself was and still am a big fan of the MiG-3. (Could you tell)LOL Though most historians labeled the plane as fast but not very manoeuvrable, put in the hands of a good pilot, aka Lieutenant Alexander Pokryshkin, it was a deadly weapon.
  15. I had made a mod for Close Combat 3. Are there going to be special tools for "modding" DiF?
