dita
Getting impatient for CM:BN, which is on pre-order, I tried the demo of shock force. Suddenly realised what I`d missed I dusted down my very old paradox copy which I`d installed and promptly uninstalled ages ago. Now with a fresh approach, after trying the demo, I promptly purchased the module triple pack. No doubt I`ll have plenty of questions, first one, where is the training campaign? I patched the paradox copy to 1.10 (using the correct patch), then installed the modules and the patches. I`m now on version 1.30 and cannot see the training campaign listed. searching around, I get the impression it was fixed in a later patch as it was not included on the paradox copy. But I still seem to be missing it? Thanks for any help. A lack of training missions, can anyone suggest a few simple battles to start with instead?
phil stanbridge
Hi Dita, SF is really quite good and a lot of people have dismissed it purely because of the theatre which is a shame. All the campaigns play differently which is great, it really feels like you are getting good value for money. I've got a training campaign listed which is part of the base module is it not? I'm also running BFC's version of the game which is 1.31 however rather than the Paradox 1.30. I don't know if that has anything to do with your problem. As for missions, I guess it depends on your style - I prefer WEGO over RT myself as I like to peruse the map and check out the action in my own time. I always feel a bit rushed otherwise. But there are missions which complement both styles. I would pick a nice small battle for starters - a couple of good small ones for you - Al Huqf Engagement and ATGM Ambush.
