Area fire with grenades

I would like to see units be able to use just grenades at certain times. During night engagements many times I have read the use of grenades was encouraged to prevent the disclosure of positions that gunfire would do.

I have also read (and done myself in the Army) that grenades would thrown over walls, roofs tops into areas not directly in line of sight. As you suspect enemy to be there or to prep the area prior to movement.
