Rob Murray
I'm using Windows XP & I'd like to know if there is a way to temporarily disable Norton anti-virus while I'm playing CMBB ( or any other game for the matter ). I've read that it can affect performance in games while it's enabled. Is this a load of hogwash or is it true? Thanks for the help.
offtaskagain
Norton should leave an icon on the right end of the toolbar near the clock. Right click on that and it should bring up a menu including disabling auto-protect. The icon should stay there enabling you to reactivate it when done. Always turn off anti-virus when burning a CD. I've had an 8x write turn into a sub 1x speed before i noticed norton was still on.
