Clifton Pig
I am sure there is a simple solution to this but... I inserted a new PCI graphics card (Nvidia GF 2 MX-400 64Mb). When I switch the computer on Windows XP 'plug and play' detects it and automatically loads up an obsolete driver which won't run CMBB. I have downloaded newer drivers from Nvidia.com but now whenever I try to install these, the moment I restart the machine Windows XP again simply installs the obsolete driver, overriding any newer one. This is even though I told it to uninstall the old driver in Device Manager. I can find no way of interuppting or preventing this process. It even happens if I try to install the new drivers before restarting for the first time. Obviously there must be a way around this - indeed I did have the newer drivers installed the other day but did not have this problem then (why I removed them is a separate problem which I will have to post about later once I can get this fixed!) Thanks in advance.
BeauCoupDinkyDau
This is how you do it: 1. Go to 'My Computer,' 2. Open 'Local Disk C' (or whatever your HD is), 3. Delete the Nvidia folder (thuse wiping out all the drivers [leave it in your recyle bin just in case though - do not fully delete it yet]) 4. Download the 44.03 dirvers from here: The Guru of 3D 5. Install them. Should be ready to fly after that. Good Luck.
