Joel Posted November 7, 2002 Share Posted November 7, 2002 Hi all, I forward a problem a fellow French player has had for some time. His computer reboots randomly since he has installed CMBB. The reboots happen while playing CMBB but also outside CMBB, they did not happen before he installed the game. His config : P4 2.4GHz DFI motherboard Geforce 4 Ti 4200 (40.72 driver) Windows XP 256 Mo RAM Any idea, anyone ? :confused: 0 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Len Posted November 7, 2002 Share Posted November 7, 2002 I have to say that I can't see how installing CMBB would have caused this problem - it doesn't update any system files at ALL. First, I'd get rid of the NVidia 40.72 drivers (they're known to be buggy) and go back to 30.82 (I think). Also, my early experiences (and other peoples') with XP contained many unexplained spontaneous reboots. I never found out what caused them, OR what fixed them, but after a while, and a few "Critical" Microsoft fixes my system settled down.
