sluggo
I have a 200 MHz machine with 64 Meg RAM. I was running Win95 and CM was very choppy and froze up frequently. So I upgraded to a Voodoo 3 card and DirectX 8.0 and that solved my problems. Now I have upgraded to Win98 and the choppiness is back and I froze up once. It doesn't seem as bad as before. Should my performance get worse by going to Win98? Is there anything I can do to get rid of this problem? I tried removing trees, etc. with little success.
Loki
Did you upgrade to 98 or do a clean install? I have seen performance drop from upgrades, espically if you go up to ME.
sluggo
I did a clean install. My copy of 95 got all screwed up so I started all over with 98.
Guest Big Time Software
98 doesn't come with DX-8. You will need to reinstall that still. Madmatt
