NNagle
Hello, my name is Nate. I live in the Eastern Coast of US. Two of my friends live in Finland. One of them, i can connect to perfectly when playing. The other, i can't. It either says the IP does not exist, or it doesn't connect at all. We've come to the conclusion that the CM-IP doesn't match our real computer's IP address. We are both using the same version, v.103 so that shouldn't be the problem. We've tried different things countless times, but failed to get it to work. Any idea what is wrong?
dieseltaylor
My guess is the firewall needs to be set to allow it. Get your friends to see if they can TCP/IP each other.
NNagle
They can, which makes this even more mysterious. We both turned our firewall off and it still didn't work. I forgot to mention that above.

Maybe it will make things less confusing. Thanks Nate
MeatEtr
Use this site for double checking your IP, although I doubt CM is getting it wrong. Also alot of people use Hamachi for connecting in CM. I use it all the time, works great and its super easy. It works like a charm when connecting to a CM opponent or any other game for that matter. Heres how it works, somebody creates a network, buddies connect to that network, and then just plug in the displayed IP address in your CM. Thats it, no configuration at all.
