TAD630 Posted April 21, 2004 Share Posted April 21, 2004 Im sure this topic has been disscused hundreds of time. I upgraded my G4 to OS 10 and installed ATI 8500. Soon I found out CMBB does not work with OS 10.I can boot to OS 9 but the game will not load. The title sceen appears larger then its suppose to be,then the screen turns black with a message " screen size must be min 600x800. Then switches off to the desktop. tar Posted April 21, 2004 Share Posted April 21, 2004 That makes it sound like you have entered software rendering mode. Here are a couple things you can try: * Always boot into OS 9 first. * Read the other recent posts about ATI cards and the new drivers. 1) Trash the CMBB Preferences file and try it again. That may make it try the hardware again. 2) If trashing the preferences doesn't work, disable (or remove) the "Classic RAVE" extension before starting up OS 9 and then trash the prefs file. After exploring through the forum I've realized I needed to switch ATI cards. I installed ATI 128 and OS 9.1.
