Vern_S
Ok, I thought I'd get us thinking about other, more positive things while we wait these last few days. Here are a couple of my Favorite WWII Documentary series I like. "The World at War" An unbeatable classic. No other documentary series compares to this stunning overview of the war. "Battlefield" In depth battle/campaign analysis like no other. You learn much about WWII from these two series. Any other's to note?
flintlock
Good thread! I have to agree, The World at War may likely be the best WWII documentary available. WWII In Color: The British Story, is also a good series which examines the British experience during the war via photography and film.
ironpants
i'd agree to all those mentioned, there's also battleplan which is worth a look if you haven't seen it before. Not sure if I can have my forum privileges stripped for mentioning something which has nothing to do with war but the planet earth series is stunning. I'm kind of sick of watching ww2 docs now cause I think there is only so much you can watch and i'm struggling to get any new info out of them now! Unfortunately I wasted many hours as a student devouring the ww2 history section in the library when I should have been working towards my degree (hmmm... maybe I should have read history...)
