traemyn Posted October 16, 2006 Share Posted October 16, 2006 Moon (admin) ~ Blown off threads are shown (including some nice animations), but like blown-off equipment (shovel, ammo boxes etc) they disappear after some time to not clog up the map. They have it implemented so the engine doesnt get bogged down keeping track of every tiny piece of debry... Yeh, I realise it would be nice to have all the eye candy you want but if its a choice between game performance and showing a thrown track or pieces of a tank then ill take the first option... Sivodsi Posted October 17, 2006 Share Posted October 17, 2006 I'm just guessing, but the fact that it wasn't there at the start of the game means the 'puter's brain has to remember its new position relative to everything that was there at the start of the game, which would take up memory space.
