Major Spinello
It seems that the number of different countries SC2 can handle already proves too limited for certain mod-ideas. Any chance that more will be added?
pzgndr
"A modder has to know his limitations." - Clint Eastwood Seriously, there are a number of code limitations that Hubert established which seemed reasonable enough a couple years ago. As with any line drawn in the sand, it could always be "just a little farther." It remains to be seen what might change in a patch or else be defered to a subsequent game design.
Major Spinello
Gotta say I like that Motto. Still, is the number of country tags really a "code limitation" like MSDOS infamous 640k limit? I mean, would adding more (of basically the same stuff) be a structurally difficult thing for Hubert to do?
benCG
There's no question that the computer language sc is coded in can cope with a higher number, the issue is the game engine. Sounds like the current number is hardcoded so extra/expandable slots will probably have to wait for sc3
