Panzer Leader
My display is kind of sparkly, flashy looking, and if I put it on view 3 and view-lock as a tank drives (for example), the trees, buildings (roofs especially) and all the rest of the display sparkle and shiver and make it hard to watch. Is there a way to make it, oh I don't know, more subtle, or smooth or something? Card is a Geforce 4 (420) w/64mb and I have T-Bird 1400 w/ WinMe. 256mb DDR ram. Would Antstropic filtering help? What does it do? Would Anti-aliasing help? What does it do?
Mr. Die Easy
Dear Panzer Leader, Anisotropic filtering will elminate the sparkling effect. Once you try it in CM, you will never play without it. I use RivaTuner to enable AF. Best regards Mr. Die Easy

CM wasn't exactly pretty to look at, and I wondered upon some screens that I saw where the graphics were incredibly smooth and crisp. At first I thought it was to do with my graphics card, which used to be a 16 Mb Riva TNT. Later on I acquired a GF 2 with 32 Mbs, but that didn't do any good. I went and tried using anti-aliasing once. You should give it a go, too. It's easy and doesn't require any additional programs á la RivaTuner.
