problem with smoke

hi, im not very familiar with the game yet and have a problem with the smoke produced by units to cover themselves.

I want to mark a target area for artillery/air strikes using stryker reconaissance vehicles but stryker MGS whick are next to the RV use smoke because enemy units (which i want to blow up with artillery!) are in front and shoot at them with small armes at long range (not very dangerous for the strykers). the good thing is that the enemy stops shooting but the bad is that I cant mark them for a strike because the rec vehicle cant see them behind the smoke (and I also think smoke is wasted). I've looked for a possibility to disable use of smoke for separate vehicles in the manual but havent found anything. need some advice? how would you act?

that would be nice! i never liked that in in the first place, smoke waste all the way

best is you place the spotting vehicle more far away from the smoking vehicle, agaisnt the direction of the wind if it comes from the side.

so the wind doesnt drift through its view.

also you can take stationary infantry, thats also working good on distances becouse they are more or less invisible compared to the vehicle.

if you have a save where you have that problem just drive out of the smoke. the strike wont get cancled or so. only, you must not drive somewhere where the spotter cant observe the area of the strike.

but to get out of smoke 30m in some direction should be enough.
