Guest Mike Posted September 1, 2006 Share Posted September 1, 2006 Basically whoever starts the dogfight has the highest points, and all other players joining must have equal or lower points. Except the AI - the AI uses some formulae to determine what a/c it gets and sometimes it's better than a players ones facing it. There is no limit to how much lower than the starting player you can be AFAIK - if you want to fly a 0 point beginner pilot agaisnt a 10,000 point ace then you are free to do so. High point pilots will often be limited to chosing leser aircraft to keep their point totals down to the allowable range - this has caught out many players as it is generally seen as not a good thing to do!! Intercept/escorts are slightly different in that intercepting a/c can only be about 2/3rds the escorts' points or lower - but again te eAI gets some variability here and sometimes can be better than the escort. If the point value of the person who created the game is 1000, then anyone joining the game would need to choose a pilot/aircraft combination that was worth at least 50% or 500 points. Got that right. I just unlocked the hurricane2 fighter and did an escort, all 4 enemy fighters were worth more than me.. I lost that mission. bartbert Posted September 1, 2006 Share Posted September 1, 2006 I always had mixed feelings about flying the Hurricane II. It does terrific damage when it can hit, but its performance sucks.
