Northstar
I assume this will be addressed in the full game documentation, but I'm curious. I've never bought cards (seems like a waste of XP in the demo, to me), but how exactly does it work? When you buy cards, are they in addition to your starting hand, or do they replace some of your starting cards? And is there any maximum to the number of cards you can buy for a particular game (besides available XP)? And are they lost at the end of the game whether you use them or not? Thanks. Dan Verssen
The purchased card is in addition to your normal starting cards. You are limited to only one purchased card at a time. Extra cards can be very useful with low level planes. The first planes only have a handsize of around 5, so getting one extra card at the start can mean a real difference. Later on, when planes come into battles with 8 cards it makes less of a difference. bartbert
Actually, the card is not retained, no matter whether you use it or discard it. Basically, the skill is expended at the start of the game. Use it or lose it.
Stalin's Organ
Does that apply just to cards, or also to the "one off" things like "draw an extra card" and "redraw"?
Dan Verssen
Just to the named card purchases like "Barrel Roll".
