No. Periodically the board will start posting replies to the wrong thread. Today it appears to be happening again.

Very unlikely. BFC don't delete posts, they just lock and/or move threads instead. If it hasn't been moved to the general board, it's likely that you hit a bug in the bulletin board software - sometimes it gets a little confused.
