BlackVoid
Tournamenthouse chat is not working. For CMBO this was the busiest place. Now the only place I know of is the chat on www.combatmission.com Anyone know of other sites where one can quickly play a TCP/IP game?

Cortes
I've been thinking, since everyone and his mother, father, uncle and half daughter has AOL, why not set up an AOL or AIM list of CM players' screen names? I think this would be a lot easier than having to check the occasional member profile, and we could converse with ease, as well. Any thoughts? tracer
I hope not everyone has AOHELL, I'm on DSL and man it rocks!!. You know yahoo is free and it's AIM is much better and also the BIG CHEESE already has a group for CM there. The site is www.yahoo.com And yahoo instant messenger is free
BlackVoid
We had a list like this on ICQ, but that is dead now too. But apparantly ICQ needs some kind of server for this. How does it work with AIM?
tracer
With AIM you just make a group, lets say "CM opponents" then when you add some one to your buddy list you would put them in that group. When that person or persons are online you will see thier names under that group name, and you can message them if you would like to get into a game of CM. Cortes
Yes, AOL is terrible, and yes, I've a cable modem.. no need to brag.. simply put, AIM would be a free and easy way for guys to exchange tactics and set up games.
BlackVoid
tracer: that is not good enough, it is just a private list.
Cortes
alright, so what we do is compile a list of guys who will be willing to play, who have sns on AIM or AOL.. easy. That way no games of tag played on the Finder boards and a way to talk tactics without having to type an essay.
tracer
Well if a list of instant messenger names could be posted some where, anyone who wanted to find a opponent could go to that post and get the names, and what service they use be it yahoo messenger or aol, that way during the week if you are on line you will see if anyone else is online that is under you "CM group list", they will be online and you know they are there and you could instant message them and ask if they would like to get a TCP/IP game starteed. Maybe a site like the "Scenario Depot" would post the list. That way you could get a good scenario to boot, hey that reminds me "Boots and Tracks" might post it to.
