Fred
Another excellent scenario from WBW! Thanks Wild Bill! This scenario has it all...careful planning, maneuvering, bounding overwatch approaches, surprises and heroism. I will never forget how my Flamethrower team sneaks around the US right flank, covered only by a small rise, then crawls up this rise to approach the US Sherman, that shelled my center platoon. I ordered the whole platoon to fire at the Sherman and the TC buttons. Meanwhile my team crawled closer...40 m...to far for the Flamethrower. The Sherman turns and slowly the turret moves...36 m...32 m The team was in position now...the Sherman, while still turning the turret, started its engines and tried to reverse...too late! One burst of flames and it was over...and the main threat for my center was gone. EK I for the (single) survivor. Wild Bill Wilder
Do you know I have yet to flame a tank? Hundreds, maybe thousands of hours of testing and playing...and never got that experience? Good for you Fred! Now I gotta get cracking on that myself. Thank you for the kind words...WB ------------------ Wild Bill Lead Tester/Designer Combat Mission-Beyond Overlord billw@matrixgames.com
