Mike Oberly
Stupid question, but it's driving me batty. My opponent upgraded to 1.01 after sending me a movie turn(i.e.,he only could watch the movie, then send, now I watch movie,do orders phase, and return)-as I understand it,I need to save the game after watching the movie in 1.00,then upgrade, load game, and give orders, etc.Problem is,when I do that I am unable to load the saved game, and I am given the 'your opponent is using a different version than you etc' error.Any idea what I am doing wrong?
Madmatt
You need to save during the orders phase, then upgrade to 1.01 then reload as a PBEM game. Madmatt
Mike Oberly
Okay,I know I'm making this harder than it should be. In my current turn,I play the movie from the last turn(my opponent sent it using 1.00,he had no choice since his turn was a movie view only,no orders phase for him, then he upgraded in so he would be ready for my turn, sent under 1.01),then I have an orders phase, then I send my turn.I still can't make this work-I've tried saving immediately after viewing the movie(i.e.,before giving any orders),then loading under 1.01,and I've tried saving after giving orders(but before hitting 'go',of course),then reloading under 1.01,but no dice. It seems the problem is I'm not really 'saving' the game in the orders phase-I'm using the 'save' button on the buttom menu, and the program asks for a name to attach to the save file, but when I try to reload,I am unable to locate the save file-if I try saving it to a file name which already exists,it doesn't overwrite it.So I am apaprently doing something wrong, but I have no idea what. This is really driving me nuts, any clues?
