One of the technics I use that helps me is to lable the major grid lines along the perimeter with "landmark" text. Then I will acctualy lay down some of the major grids on the map by painting a lesser used terrain tile (I use wheat fields, they show up well) from one side to the other. Then I place more "landmark" text along some of the major grids (towards map center) so I can always tell where I am on the map. It takes a while to do this but a little time taken at the start realy saves time down the road on those realy big maps. groundpounder Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
