"B Company: 776 Tank Destroyer Battalion in Combat" by Jim Montgomery --- actually a memoir that covers Montgomery's service from 1943 until 1945; from Tunisia, to Italy, to France.

Short Combat History of the 776th

"Gare la Bete (Beware the Beast): A History of the 814th Tank Destroyer Battalion, 1942-1945" by Calvin Boykin Jr. --- A fine unit history that neatly combines "big picture" background, detailed accounts of battalion operations, and memorable personal stories.

"Reluctant Valor : The Oral History of Captain Thomas J. Evans, United States Third Army, 4th Armored Division, 704th Tank Destroyer Battalion" by Thomas J. Evans (et. al.)

"A War to Win : Company 'B' 813th Tank Destroyers : Personal Stories of World War II in the Men's Own Words" by Harry D. Dunnagan.

"The Men of the 704th: An Illustrated and Spoken History of the 704th Tank Destroyer Battalion" by Richard R. Buchanan

"Seek, strike, destroy : the history of the 636th Tank Destroyer Battalion" by Tom Sherman

"Seek, strike, destroy : the history of the 894th Tank Destroyer Battalion in World War II" by Patrick J. Chase

The Evans book is unique because Evans, a decorated tank destroyer commander, was on the design committee for the M18 Hellcat and helped develop the sprint and fire tactics those TDs used. Unfortunately, only a few copies of the book were printed, including some that contain only sections of the work.
