EricM
Just finished reading Lorraine 1944 from the Osprey Campaign series. In it the author states it was common pratice in the 4th Armor Div. to be loaded with a smoke round as they entered battle if they might encounter tanks. When they encountered tanks they fired the smoke round at them. Due to the inexperience of the German crews some would think they were hit and abandone the vehicle, if not the US tank had a opertunity to move before the German could target them. Now how would you attempt to duplicate this tactic in CMBO? Eric
Matt the Paladin
Just tell your tanks, mortars, or arty to shoot smoke rounds. If you have trouble remembering the shortcut, hit spacebar. I don't think it would make the Germans abandon theri tanks, though. ------------------ "War is like a cat, it is easy to let out of the bag, but hard as hell to put back in!" -Me
Atlas
EricM, Interesting story. As far as CM is concerned, I do not think such a tactic is possible.
Olle Petersson
I think that tactic is hardcoded, to some extent. More than a few times have I seen my tanks shoot smoke as the first round against enemies they think are to tough to crack with AP.
