My (loose) understanding of the germans is that each Battalion would have 4 radios. 1 to Regiment, 1 to Division and 2 for the Battalions on each flank. Does that sound right? What about the Russians? How did they organise things, in practice and reality? Useful references would be gratefully accepted as well.
