foamy Posted March 31, 2002 Share Posted March 31, 2002 Got a great shot of my Flamethrower "Accidently" setting fire to a knocked out Panzer. He was actually Toasting some German troops about 20 yards away from the tank when it suddenly burst into flames. I also noticed that the road is actually on fire - does the game engine know that the knocked out tank would have fuel spilled all over the road and would catch fire with a suitable ignition source. It so happened that the road passed through a forest belt that formed a pocket where AFV's were entering the game. When the road ignited the AFV's were trapped in the pocket with no way out. I actually do quite well with Flamethrowers - the trick is to keep them hidden by Sneaking and Crawling with a good stealth HQ. Then, when near a target do not try to get LOS, if LOS is established "Boom" the Flamethrower is instantly killed. Just use "Area Fire", the spread of flame and devestation is huge.
