Samhain
Another manual idea: a suggested reading list divided into sections by topic. Perhaps also a bibliography of research sources. Also a complete unit listing with full stats. ------------------ I rode a tank, held a general's rank When the blitzkrieg raged, and the bodies stank. --Rolling Stones [This message has been edited by Samhain (edited 12-21-2000).]
Monte99
quote:
Originally posted by Iskander: A better tutorial in the manual AND 1-3 more tutorial scenarios (perhaps via download to save CD space) on basic tactics (advance, defence, armor, infantry) would help the newbie.

It would help the not-so-newbie too. I would have appreciated a nice hands-on lesson about the proper use of mortars and artillery in the game. (of course, I GOT a nice hands-on lesson, several of them, courtesy of the AI. But you know what I mean.) Not that I'm complaining. I love this game and am seriously considering a comitted, long-term relationship. Just last night I stayed up past 3 a.m. achieving a total victory in "Move It or Lose It" -- what a great scenario when you play it the first time! ------------------ "Arms are my ornaments, warfare my repose." - Don Quixote
CATguy
The manual is great!!!! rarely do you get a game with a detailed manual anymore. Usually it is on a PDF file or something. For such a deep game the manual could almost be twice as thick...
