countdown timer before PBEM action phase??

Hi, I have come across a VERY annoying thing during PBEM. When I get a turn sent back to me, a little timer under the play button area for the action phase counts down from like 3500 all the way to zero, at a second per number, this is very annoying and frustrating, as it takes over an hour of pointless counting down to watch a 60 second movie, why is this happening and how can I stop it? Thanks for your help.

Umm..I have never heard or seen something like this. What kind of computer do you have and can you send me one of the PBEM files?
