PeterX
I was playing ****** against the AI. You know the scenario with the, things, advancing on the you-know-what with that hill and... Oh, the hell with it! Damn the Spoiler Patrol: * * * * * * Korsun Relief. Moving up the 5 Panthers on the right of the trees everyone of them bogged and immobbbed. And a lot of the HTs as well. Is this right? Sure, it's muddy, but getting them to the highway would be nearly as far. I thought excessive bogging had been revisited in the patch (?). Slightly, OT, but I was disappointed that BFC never responded to Paul Jungnitsch's provocative thread on flotation ratings. It seems, according to his data, that Panther should be LESS prone to sinking into the mud than other AFVs.
rune
It is right, the mud stopped the real assault. A few german tanks made the hill, but then were hit and the attack failed. Hope you enjoyed the scenario... Rune
PeterX
Yes, Rune,it was a,uh, blast. Although now it appears impossible to get ANY tanks anywhere near that hill. I mean the ones travelling cross country. IMO, the bogging threshold should be raised a bit.
Madmatt
The only changes to bogging in 1.01 was that vehicles now have LESS chance (not more) of bogging in open type terrain. No changes that I am aware of were made for muddy conditions. Madmatt
