AFV crew uniforms

I was just checking a panther screenshot in another thread and it appears that the crew is in SS (waffengrenadier) uniform...

Is this a change from CMBO where all german crews had the same uniform (except HT crews)?

What about the soviets? Different uniforms for Guards crew?

Can anybody with the game enlighten this issue?

There are three Waffen-SS Panzer Uniforms (a black and two camouflaged ones,) but only a black Heer one. There is an early war and a late war Russian Tank uniform, which is the same for all tank crews no matter what units the crews belong to. Both of them are coveralls which are worn over the shirts, so the Guards insignia and decorations would be hideen by them.

Will the late war uniforms with shoulder boards show up on unit portraits in a patch, or was the decision made to use early war collar patches for the whole war?
