MG42 HMG's can take out halftracks out to ~200-400m, and you want to be perpendicular to it to have a chance. .50cal can take out the thick front of a 251/1 out to ~600m, and can kill it thru the thinner sides/rear out to hundreds of meters further than that. I don't know a thing about the Soviet 12.7 DsHK MG.Should be pretty equal to the 50cal, the 12.7 ammo is slightly bigger (52g vs 46g) but has slightly less muzzle velocity (860 vs 880).
