Since then I've been wondering where my ambush defense options went. Finally I broke down and started the tutorials (I had already read and highlighted the first half of the manual), and low and behold there was a wonderful explanation of what to do for defense. So amid the complaints here on the forum, you get another thanks from me for something that works so well.
