Michael Dorosh
Botto - was going to respond in the other thread on Italians, but it quickly became not worth visiting. I am trying to update my info on Italian ranks, responsibilities and combat decorations and wonder if you could review my Italian section at http://members.shaw.ca/madorosh/table.htm and tell me what I am missing, especially with regards to "required" ranks for platoon, company, battalion leadership? I am also looking to update my Italian decorations info at: http://members.shaw.ca/grossdeutschland/decorations.htm I tried to click the page on awards on your site (nicely done, by the way) but get a dead link- or rather, a picture of an Italian soldier telling me the URL is in my head!! Can you help?
Botto
Hello  lol, 'Italian Stallion', i've been called that before have we met somewhere on another forum? - You have ranks correct for the Royal Army (blackshirt units used a diffrent system based on Roman ranks) Required ranks would be capitano / igs for a battalion (battaglione) and a tenente / igs for a company sized unit (compagnia) Some info on awards can be found at: http://home.earthlink.net/~rvanhoozer/medals.htm http://www.gwpda.org/medals/italmedl/italy.html Military Orders of Savoy were particulary important awards As for Comando Supremo, yeah its a great site but credit goes to the webmaster, Jim. I am merely a dedicated member cheers
