Unzipping mods

Recommended Posts

First I'd urge you to consider using "Power archiver" instead of Winzip.

Power Archiver is freeware and slightly more powerful than Winzip, but if you want to pay for a lesser product (Winzip is shareware) it's up to you...

Once you've got any of the programs installed, just double-click on a compressed file to start the archive manager. From there on it's pretty self explanatory.

What you want to do is to "extract" all modded texture files into your "\Combat Mission\BMP" folder. (That's if you use CMMOS or are sure that you want to use the mod. I usually extract the mod to a temporary folder and then compare the mod textures to the ones I currently use, then I keep the better set.)

Cheers

Olle
