REVS
Anyone else noticed this CMAK problem? I'm on a G4 Mac, with NVDA GForce4MX video card with 64MB videoRAM and 768MB 'ordinary' RAM. The allocated memory settings for CMAK are fine (I think something like 50MB is minimum, the basic setting is 75 and the max is also 75.) When I go to create a town board map, one with lots of buildings on pavements, everything looks OK in the editor panel until I click on the preview, and the preview shows only some scatttered bits of township, with lots of grassland where there should be cheek-by-jowl buildings. And when I save the map, it only saves the "mucho-grassland" version. I've tried generating maps from scratch, and also by auto-generating a large town map then editing that, and the same problem occurs both ways.
Michael Dorosh
What do you have the contour interval set to? If there are elevation changes greater than 5m between adjacent tiles, the buildings will disappear. City terrain needs to be on almost perfectly flat ground.
photon
I believe what you're seeing is the effect of terrain elevation. You can't have two buildings in adjacent tiles of different elevations. Frustrating, but possible to work around. - b.
