baturkey
I had three Matilda IIs in brush in the rear of the Italian lines. It had been several turns since anything fired on them, but the brush started burning. Did the tanks cause the fire, or something I didn't see?

Something, mortars, arty, had to have set that brush on fire. I've never seen a hot exhaust start a fire in CM. Restart your playback movie, zoom in very close, try this from all angles you'll see something/someone trying to take out your Matildas. flamingknives
The British tankers have gotten bored, dismounted and were having a brew. The fire that they used to boil the water got out of control and set fire to the brush. To avoid getting into trouble, the tank crew remounted before you noticed and are currently sitting in their tank and are whistling innocently.
