Meaning, US troops are far more influenced by the soldier beside them, rather than than their IMMEDIATE commander. European soldiers are more influenced by their commander, relative to the Yanks. US troops historically rallied quicker after breaking. This might be because we won more battles than lost. Shell shocked Germans gave up in droves.
