Dolphin
Perhaps you could consider this idea in SC2. A small division's symbol (like desert rat, etc) on the info screen would give a 'feeling' that you are controlling the historical unit. It is not hard to find these historical icons, we could help you on this. This idea will go well with the proposed database that suggests the name of a newly created unit. I/O Error
Hmmm... I like that, but wouldn't that only be possible for starting units? Also we don't use units as small as a division, and I don't know (speaking from ignorance) whether or not Corps and Army sized units were ever given nicknames like that. Sure thing; in the last years of WW2 Germany build up at least the Panzerkorps "Großdeutschland" & "Feldherrnhalle"; unit symbols would be available for those. On the other hand, the historical symbol in the info screen from a newly purchased Army or Tankgroup could represent the elite spearhead of this formation!
